With just a few days to go until the long-awaited new episodes of Stranger Things finally hit Netflix, the series has released a brand new clip to build the excitement even more.

This clip shows Michael being quizzed about the whereabouts of Eleven by a couple of police officers, though he's not giving anything away.

"I told you everything," he tells the police officer, who replies: "I understand this is difficult, Michael."

"I don't know where she is and even if I did, I would never tell you," Mike insists defiantly. "I would never tell you."

"I know it's difficult to accept that she's a very dangerous individual," one officer tells him, before the other insists he must tell them if Eleven does get in contact. "Otherwise you're putting yourself and your entire family at risk."

Netflix has been piling on the excitement ahead of the new season release, from putting the cast in '80s-themed movie posters to dropping an incredible trailer on Friday the 13th, as well as other brilliant teasers.

The new season picks up in the aftermath of Will Byers' return from the Upside Down. What should be a time of celebration takes a dark turn when young Will starts having visions of a strange creature in the sky.

We don't know a lot about this "shadow monster", as the kids call it, but we do know it will be more terrifying than the Demogorgon.

Stranger Things returns to Netflix worldwide on Friday (October 27).
