Warning: This article contains spoilers for Stranger Things season two.

Shannon Purser has revealed what she thinks would have happened to her iconic Stranger Things character Barb, if only she'd survived her trip to the Upside Down.

The actress was talking to Digital Spy to celebrate the launch of the Topshop X Stranger Things collection and the show's second season, which is now available to stream on Netflix. Spoilers follow below the video...

To recap: at the start of season two, Barb's disappearance is still being treated as suspicious, leading her long-suffering parents to sell their home in order to pay disgraced-journalist-turned-conspiracy-theorist Murray Bauman (played fabulously by Brett Gelman) to find Barb, not knowing she is dead and in grisly condition in the Upside Down.

Eventually – with thanks to Bauman as well as Nancy and Jonathan – Barb finally gets her justice and a proper send-off, leading us only to wonder what the future may have held for Barb before her tragic demise.

And now, we finally have some answers.

"I feel like I see her being like a lawyer or a very socially conscious high powered woman," Shannon said.

"I think people need advice and Barb was pretty good at giving it. I'm proud of her. I think she would do well."

Stranger Things season two is available to stream on Netflix now.
