Possibly the most endearing thing about Dave Grohl is that he genuinely has a childlike love for rock and roll. The guy really adores what he does—he's there for the music, man. And that love of the music is enough to transcend a decades-old feud between his old band, Nirvana, and Guns N' Roses.

In the early '90s Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose was a Nirvana fan, wearing the band's hat in the video for "Don't Cry." But while promoting Nevermind, Kurt Cobain told a reporter, "We're not your typical Guns N' Roses type of band that has absolutely nothing to say." After months of Nirvana refusing to tour with GN'R, Rose finally broke, calling Cobain and Courtney Love "fucking junkies" a year later. The tension continued over the years even after Cobain's death, and began to subside in the 2010s. Things began to smoothe over even further between the bands when Rose broke his leg before a GN'R tour as Grohl had done during a Foo Fighters tour.

Now, that feud can finally be put to rest, as Grohl appeared on stage with Guns N' Roses to perform "Paradise City" at their Oklahoma tour stop. Axl tells the crowd that Grohl just "happened to be in the neighborhood" before the Foo Fighters frontman ran out to play the classic. And if there's any tension remaining, you wouldn't be able to tell, because Grohl is having the time of his life. I wish I loved anything as much as Dave Grohl loves cheesy rock music.
