Ever dream of the day that the Gallagher brothers will bury the hatchet and move on? Yeah, us too. Well sadly, that day is not today.

In what is perhaps the 1000th instalment of Liam and Noel's feud, Noel has now blamed the lack of an Oasis reunion on social media – and their fans. (Kind of.)

Proving that talk of Oasis getting back together will never die, Noel has once again waded in on the situation, insisting that his reasons for staying solo are now "personal".

Talking to Radio 4's Front Row, Noel lamented the "exhausting" nature of social media, revealing that his wife and kids are often subjected to abuse "in regards to Oasis".

"It only heightens my resolve that I'll never walk the stage with that band again," he added.

Saying that people are "coming after" his family, Noel then pointed the finger of blame at Liam. What a surprise, eh?

"People are coming after my family," he said, "and one particular person [Liam] has legitimised it. And for that reason, you've seen the last of Oasis."

If, like us, all of this back-and-forth has got you wondering what actually started Liam and Noel's feud in the first place – don't worry, because we have the answer.

Appearing on The Graham Norton Show recently, Liam revealed that it all began with a stereo and a drunken wee. As these things always do.

"The grudge started when he was about 19 and he bought a stereo," he recalled. "I'd had my first drink that night and got up to pee.

"I couldn't find the light so I relieved myself over his new sound system. He was livid and that's where it started."
