We're pretty confident you weren't a globally recognisable actor at the age of 14. And even if you were (we're looking at you, Emma Watson), you probably also weren't in a band that bagged themselves a record deal.

Well step up, Finn Wolfhard. The Stranger Things star/band frontman has just announced his four-piece indie group are on their way to making it to the big time.

Made up solely of fellow 14-year-olds, they were noticed after Finn posted a couple of videos on YouTube. The band, called Calpurnia, were doing covers of The Pixies and Twin Peaks (the band, not the show).

There are also live videos of the band, fronted by Wolfhard, covering tracks by New Order and Mac DeMarco.

Mac DeMarco loved their cover so much he recently invited Wolfhard on stage with him, while Twin Peaks were so impressed with Calpurnia's covers they reached out and offered to collaborate.

In a statement to NME, Wolfhard said: "It is so sweet that we have such a good team at Royal Mountain Records. I love everyone on it.

"I'm extremely excited to record our EP with Cadien Lake James. Not only is he in one of my favourite bands of all time, and recorded some of my favourite songs, but he is also the sweetest guy ever.

"Thanks everyone so much who helped us out along the way, it means the world."

Excuse us whilst we go feel inadequate about ourselves.
