There have been plenty of royal responses to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement but Prince William's definitely wins.

When approached by reporters earlier today, the Duke of Cambridge said he hopes the upcoming royal wedding means his little brother will stop "scrounging" his food.

"We're very excited and delighted for them both, and wish them all the happiness in this very exciting time," William began.

"For me, personally, I hope it means he stays out of my fridge and will stop him scrounging my food, which he's done for the last few years."

The Duke of Cambridge isn't exactly exaggerating; a feature on Prince Harry in Newsweek, which published earlier this year, revealed that the younger royal "often pops into their apartment at Kensington Palace, where [Kate Middleton] cooks him a meal — roast chicken is reportedly a particular favourite."

Lo and behold, Harry actually proposed to Meghan at home in Kensington Palace while they were "trying to roast a chicken." Figures.
