Star Wars: The Last Jedi isn't even out in cinemas yet, but one fan has already built a life-size model of the TIE Silencer, the starfighter used by bad guy Kylo Ren in the film.

Of course, Colin Furze is no ordinary fan, being a YouTuber and TV presenter known for building all sorts of really cool geeky contraptions, like the Assassin's Creed hidden blade and a hoverbike.

He's also got some help on his side, having been commissioned by eBay to build the ship using only parts procured from the bidding site, to help promote the release of The Last Jedi.

This project is Furze's biggest to date, weighing seven tonnes and requiring five lorries to transport.

The TIE Silencer took a team of five people seven weeks to build, and has a fully detailed cockpit with targeting computer (not that any self-respecting Force wielder needs one) and joystick. It's got lights on the inside and out, and even a personalised number plate.

The only thing the replica doesn't do is fly and go 'pew pew pew'.

It's currently on display at Burghley House in Stamford, but only until December 11, so if you're in the area why not pop down?

For those with a PS4, Xbox One or PC, you can actually pilot the TIE Silencer in Star Wars: Battlefront II, which is out now.

And for everyone else, you can see Kylo's new ship (and plenty of other cool stuff too) in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which hits cinemas on 15 December.
