Wow! A great new graphic novel! Yes we thought you'd be as excited as us to see the new book from comic book artist Glyn Dillon. And really it's a lovely thing.
OK, we may be slightly biased as a good part of The Nao of Brown, about a young woman with occasionally debilitating - and would-be murderous - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, takes place in a thinly veiled version of Playlounge, the "design conscious" toy shop that's a stone's throw from our office.
But we were also won over by Dillon's exquisite pen and water colour drawings - which must have come in handy during his recent stint working as a film storyboard artist - and highly original narrative, which encompasses both romance, psychological intrigue, quiet observation of human tics and epic sci-fi fantasy. You can read a preview of the first chapter via issue.com, or the book is available now, published by Self-Made Hero.
