A History Of The Batmobile

Zack Snyder has revealed Batman's new wheels. See how it shapes up

Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Zack Snyder released the first image of the new Batman suit and Batmobile yesterday afternoon. The latest edition may not be on sale (yet) but we're keeping our fingers crossed.

The director tweeted the photo of a pensive Ben Affleck donning the Batsuit as well as the 'mobile, designed by Patrick Tatopoulos, known for his work on 300: Rise Of An Empire.

Snyder's photograph is the follow-up to an earlier tease of the Batmobile, released on Monday:

To celebrate, we've also taken a look back at some of the heroes previous 'mobiles, from the war machine roadster featured in Christopher Nolan's trilogy to the 60s TV show's iconic getaway car.

The sequel to 2012s Man Of Steel will see Batman and Superman together on the big screen for the first time. When it finally opens in 2016, we're hoping it'll be more Dark Knight than Daredevil.

Batman vs Superman will see Henry Cavill and Amy Adams return, as well as the addition of Jessie Eisenberg and Gal Gadot as Lex Luther and Wonder Woman respectively.
