Even before the first Star Wars spin-off Rogue One has hit cinemas, we've been given a hint as to what the Han Solo spin-off will be like.

Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy has spoken to Variety about the untitled Young Han Solo movie, which will see Alden Ehrenreich take over control of Han's blaster from Harrison Ford.

"This moves closer to a heist or Western-type feel," she explained. "We've talked about [Frederic] Remington and those primary colours that are used in his paintings defining the look and feel of the film."

And if you're wondering what those paintings look like, here's one of them:

Given the loveable rogue nature of Han, a Western seems a perfect fit for the outlaw type of figure that he is in the Star Wars universe, especially if it involves him getting up to mischief with a heist.

Will we be seeing Emilia Clarke helping out Han on any such heist? The Game of Thrones star was the latest name to be cast in the movie, but Lucasfilm is keeping tight-lipped on who she'll be playing.

All they've said is that she's one of "a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures", which also includes Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian.

As for the upcoming Rogue One, Kennedy described it as more of a World War II-style adventure, and revealed that it would be the first Star Wars movie WITHOUT an opening crawl.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story lands in cinemas on 15 December in the UK, and in the US the following day. The untitled Young Han Solo movie arrives on 25 May, 2018.
