During the fifth season of Variety and PBS' series Actors on Actors, Jeff Bridges and Matthew McConaughey chatted about their most memorable roles—a monster feat, considering how many classics these two have been in. However, they were quick to choose their respective favorites, because there are just some characters that will never fade—for them or for us.

For McConaughey, he'll never forget his time as David Wooderson in Dazed and Confused, which happened to be his first major film role. "I have some people come up to me and say the first line of a 'Dazed' line and I'll say the second half back," McConaughey told Bridges. "And that's my favorite fan [interaction]."

"I love that, man," Bridges responded in a very Jeff Bridges way. Of course, there's one particular dude that Bridges thought of immediately: The Dude.

"Whether I was in it or not, [The Big Lebowski] would probably be one of my favourite movies," he said. "Any kind of recognition from that movie—I never get tired."

Well...alright, alright, alright.
