Spider-Man: Homecoming's first full trailer is here and we've got good news: it's exactly the wall-crawling adventure you've been waiting for.
Tom Holland is teenage vigilante Peter Parker, who keeps busy catching crooks (disguised as The Avengers no less) on the streets of New York when he's not studying for his math tests.
This Marvel and Sony co-production hits all the right notes, blending an instantly familiar version of Peter Parker from the comics with all sorts of new Stark Industries gadgets.
Thanks to Peter's Civil War buddy Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr), Spidey goes from amateur crime-fighter to bonafide superhero with wings.
"Just don't do anything I would do - and definitely don't do anything I wouldn't do. There's a little grey area in there and that's where you operate," Stark advises him.
"Listen, I know school sucks. I know you want to save the world. But you're not ready yet. Stay close to the ground. And stay out of trouble."
Spider-Man will need all the tech he can get to stop his most fearsome foes yet, as he faces off with the deranged Vulture (Michael Keaton), Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine) and The Tinkerer (Michael Chernus).
"Don't mess with me because I will kill you and everybody you love," The Vulture ominously warns when he comes face-to-face with Spidey.
Like all kids these days, Peter can't help but vlog about his superheroic exploits - bringing a found-footage feel to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This coming-of-age story's awkward high school scenes are also influenced by all the classic teen comedies of the '80s and even the Harry Potter movies, which Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige hinted at earlier in the year.
"This is sophomore year - is the next one junior year? Is the next one senior year? Is there a summer break between each of those?" Feige teased.
"I don't know what, but it was sort of, 'How do we do a journey for Peter not dissimilar for what the students of Hogwarts would go through each of their years?', which was one of the early ideas we had for the movies."
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits cinemas on July 7, 2017.
