We have a first glimpse of Bryan Cranston's Zordon from Power Rangers, and it looks like they are sticking to the tried and tested.

The Rangers' mentor was glimpsed through a preview of the upcoming movie's virtual reality simulator in Las Vegas.

From pictures, it seems Cranston will have the classic blue head, which is projected through the Command Centre's walls.

The picture, albeit low quality, also shows Alpha 5 in the bottom left hand corner. The Qualcomm simulator is due to debut officially today.

We hope that Zordon gets a better reception than Alpha 5, whose new look has taken some getting used to for die-hard fans.

Cranston famously voiced a couple of the monsters on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series, and inspired the name of the original Blue Ranger, Billy Cranston.

We've got just over two months until we finally see the new live action version of Power Rangers, and to keep us excited the movie dropped a new trailer a few weeks ago.

The clip minimises the brooding of the first trailer and ramps up the action that we all want to see.

It was also confirmed recently that original Green Ranger Jason David Frank would not be reprising his role despite rumours swirling.

"Don't believe what you read!! So many internet rumors ugh so annoying... People just drop a story based off rumours. Sorry guys false alarm!!" he wrote on Instagram.

Power Rangers is set to open in UK cinemas on 24 March, 2017.
