Pierce Brosnan feels as frustrated with his James Bond stint as you do.
In the latest issue of Total Film, he's reflected on his four-film run ordering martinis and killing bad guys as 007, marking out his biggest regret for the movies.
"There was a certain frustration within me as the films went on, as I could see the world happening around me and the movies," Brosnan outlined.
"I wanted Bond to get a little more gritty and real and down and dirty, but however you try to nurse it along, the scripts would come along with the same outlandish scenarios."
Gritty is certainly how the franchise has become in the Daniel Craig era, which has been a huge success. But we're not sure how anyone could make an invisible car and terrible CGI surfing 'gritty'.
Brosnan added that he just decided to "go with the flow" and enjoy the perks of being Bond – and who can blame him – meaning he even had fun with Die Another Day.
"I had a great time on Die Another Day. There were things I read in the script that were so ridiculous, like the invisible car, but I just tried to act my way through it and believe in it," he recalled.
"You can really give yourself a massive headache and a great amount of stress trying to wangle some sense of believability into it."
