Hugh Jackman has opened up about the possibility of reprising Wolverine (if you haven't seen Logan yet, there are spoilers ahead so... go away? Do something else).

During an appearance on Lorraine Kelly's ITV breakfast show today , the actor said the X-Men superhero will most likely be back on the big screen before too long.

Sadly though, it won't be him wielding those famous claws.

"He'll come back, just not with me," he said. "Well, except on Saturday nights at my house. I dress up!"

Hugh then joked that he has kept his iconic costume because it helps him with parenting.

"When my kids are not doing their homework, I dress up and the claws come out," he laughed. "I just have to do that [raise an eyebrow] with the claws and it works!"

Although Hugh isn't planning on ever signing up to play Wolverine again, he admitted that Hollywood producers will be making more films and he's more than happy to let somebody else fill his shoes.

"Definitely someone else will play the role [of Wolverine], it's a great role," he added.

"You know, it's like a Bond or it's like a Batman, those kinds of roles. Other people will play him for sure."

The Australian actor appeared on Lorraine to promote his new movie The Greatest Showman, which he stars in alongside Zac Efron and Michelle Williams.

Inspired by the legacy of PT Barnum, the film is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business.

But does his character have really big knives attached to his knuckles? That's the question on everybody's mind, Hugh.
