We don't know much about the 25th movie in the James Bond franchise yet, but we do know when it's coming out.

The official social media channels have revealed that, whatever the movie will be called, it will be released on 8 November 2019.

In the United States anyway, as the worldwide release date is yet to be confirmed (as is everything else) but the United Kingdom will be getting it slightly earlier.

"James Bond will return to US cinemas on November 8, 2019," reads a post on the official Instagram account, "with a traditional earlier release in the UK and the rest of the world.

"Bond 25 will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.

"The film's cast, director and distributor will be announced at a later date."

The point about the film's distributor is interesting, as there were rumours that Sony could be losing the rights to the franchise after Spectre was too high-budget.

The biggest mystery surrounding the film is, of course, who will play the leading role. Daniel Craig famously admitted that he'd "rather slash his wrists" than do another one, but later insisted it was "the best job in the world".
