Expectations are high for James Franco's The Disaster Artist, a film within a film about the creation of Tommy Wiseau's The Room—an infamous cult favourite that's widely considered the best-worst movie of our generation. On Tuesday, Franco released the first full-length look at The Disaster Artist, and it's quite possibly the best trailer of the year. It finally gives an in-depth look at Franco's much anticipated impression of Wiseau—complete with his beloved catch phrases (including "Oh, hai, Mark)."

But, more importantly, in two minutes and 15 seconds, this trailer hints at the surprising heart of the film—one that tackles the Hollywood dream, rejection, and the pain of art. This isn't just a comedy making fun of a man's misguided attempt at fame—this is about having a vision and fighting for it. And yes, it will also be funny as hell to watch Seth Rogen tell Franco's Wiseau not to look into the camera. I'm already expecting to be heartbroken watching Wiseau sit in the audience of his premiere hearing them laugh at his masterpiece. But even if IRL Wiseau's The Room didn't become an Oscar contender, maybe Franco's The Disaster Artist will. At least we know Wiseau himself approves.
