For an actor, you would think landing a role in something as huge as Star Wars must be a dream come true, but Domhnall Gleeson almost turned it down.

"Why would I have thought of saying no?" he told Radio Times."Fame is the end goal for a lot of people, but it is not mine.

"I worried that the accompanying fame would get in the way of how I live my life."

Though in the end, he managed to deal with it all pretty well.

"It got a little crazy for a couple of months – for a while, going out and having a drink with my friends was difficult, and then it died down."

The actor is set to reprise his role as First Order villain General Hux in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, so it might get a bit crazy again for a while, but it IS Star Wars.

The film has now been officially completed and we're eagerly awaiting a new trailer – which Luke Skywalker himself has hinted will drop next week.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on December 14 in the UK and December 15 in the US.
