The second season of Stranger Things is almost finally here, and its latest teaser is full of '80s-inspired conspiracy theories.

Teasing fans with this latest Stranger Things trailer, actor Gaten Matarazzo (AKA Dustin) shared a short clip on Instagram admitting that 1984 was a "pretty strange" year.

Is the next instalment of the hit Netflix series about to suggest that the Olympic games and Coca-Cola are the result of a government cover-up?

One thing we do know about Stranger Things' comeback is that the new monster of the series is set to be even more terrifying than the Demagorgon.

Hinting at Will's visions in the new series, co-creator Ross Duffer revealed that the latest baddie to terrorise Hawkins, Indiana is "tied into this shape that Will sees in the sky".

Promising even more chaos and downright confusion, Matt Duffer added: "Each episode is building on the last one. It gets much crazier than it ever got in season one."

Stranger Things returns to Netflix worldwide just in time for Halloween on Friday, 27 October.
