Star Wars: The Last Jedi has released a new trailer which gives us a few more glimpses at the long-awaited sequel to The Force Awakens.

While a lot of the footage merely extends what we saw from the first trailer, there are two very interesting scenes which the new 45-second supercut reveals.

Firstly, Luke Skywalker is seen back in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, which will also mean a likely reunion with its only surviving pilot, Chewbacca, and potentially his sister, General Leia, both of whom we last saw at the rebel base at the end of Episode 7.

Towards the end of the trailer we once again see Luke soaked, laying down and threatening Rey with his ominous warning: "This is not going to go the way you think."

Straight afterwards, Rey is shown raising her lightsaber into a battle stance – could she be readying herself to fight Luke? Or simply showing she's ready for the battle to come?

A fight between the two heroes is something backed up by some other behind-the-scenes images.

The super-short trailer also gives us a glimpse at Supreme Leader Snoke with Domhnall Gleeson's evil General Hux in his blood red command chamber, thereby confirming Snoke is in fact normal sized, despite his towering hologram in The Force Awakens.

Meanwhile, Mark Hamill, who plays Luke, recently admitted he only returned to the franchise after he knew his co-stars Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher intended to return – as he wanted to avoid becoming the most hated man in the galaxy.
