Taika Waititi is showing no signs of slowing down following the success of Thor: Ragnarok, as a follow-up to his 2014 indie flick What We Do in the Shadows is on its way.
In about seven years or so, mind you.
Yep, brace yourselves for the return of the werewolves – not swearwolves – as the sequel is all about the group of werewolves that featured in the original.
In an interview with BUILD (via Yahoo Movies), Taika revealed the title of the upcoming project, and it'll make pun-lovers out there very happy.
"The movie is called We're Wolves. We are wolves. We're wolves. It's a wordplay. Geddit?" he said.
But that's not all – Waititi also confirmed that he'll be teaming up with Flight of the Conchords' Jemaine Clement once again, saying that they will "co-direct" the follow-up.
And therein lies the problem, unfortunately.
"You're not going to see it for seven years," he said. "We're notoriously terrible at writing together, Jemaine and I.
"It usually takes place over e-mails, so we'll e-mail each other one line of dialogue, once a month... What We Do in the Shadows took six years to write," he added.
Still, if it's anything like the original – and the surprisingly hilarious Thor: Ragnarok – we're sure it'll be worth the wait.
