In an interview for Fox 5 with Affleck, who plays Batman in the DC Universe, and his Justice League co-stars Ray Fisher (Cyborg) and Jason Momoa (Aquaman), interviewer Kevin McCarthy asked the group for their response to Kevin Smith's decision to donate his Weinstein profits.

Affleck responded: "It's funny that you mention that because once Kevin suggested that I decided to do the same thing.

"So any further residuals I get from a Miramax or a Weinstein movie will go either to FIND or to RAINN – one is Film Independent, the other is a women's organisation.

"I just didn't want to cash any more cheques from the guy. I don't usually bring it up – it was Kevin's idea and I think it's a good one and I hope it catches on. Some people probably couldn't afford to give all their residuals away but even if you're doing 10%, that's something."

Some of the movies that Affleck made with Miramax and Weinstein include Good Will Hunting, Gone, Baby, Gone and The Company Men.

Meanwhile investigations into the multiple allegations against Harvey Weinstein are ongoing. The Hollywood mogul has "unequivocally denied" any allegations of non-consensual sex.
