Gillian Anderson Wants To Be The Next 'Jane' Bond

Another name to add to the bookies' list?

After the news surfaced last week that Daniel Craig has turned down £68 million to resume his role as Bond, the talk has been focused on who can step up and be his successor. 

We've already thrown our suggestion in for Emily Blunt to be the first female 007,  and argued why Idris Elba would be a sound choice, but now it seems Gillian Anderson wants a slice of the rogue agent pie too.

 The Fall and The X-Files  actress hinted (heavily) today that she would be willing to take over from Daniel Craig as MI6's deadliest weapon, tweeting:

The bookies' current favourite to be the new 007 is Esquire June cover star Tom Hiddleston, although he's played down the talk that has linked him to the role, saying that that the rumours are very "flattering", but that Daniel Craig is a "sensational" Bond.
