Star Wars: Episode VIII is nearly finished filming. About time for a new set photo, right?

Director Rian Johnson marked the "home stretch" of Episode VIII's production schedule with a fresh image of a grimy cloak that looks eerily similar to the one worn by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in The Force Awakens.

Of course, this mysterious garment could belong to another character entirely. Maybe Luke has a matching set for his trainee Rey (Daisy Ridley)?

Rian had a bit of fun when asked on Twitter if this cape belonged to him, teasing: "The crew thought it was weird for the first few months.

But eventually they kept thinking it was weird."

Star Wars: Episode VIII recently wrapped up some extensive filming in Ireland by placing an advert in The Irish Examiner to thank its crew and locals - complete with a Gaelic translation of "May the Force be with you".

Lucasfilm built a massive 50-foot protective structure around an Irish seaside location to effectively prevent passers-by from getting any useful sneak peeks when filming started on the Emerald Isle a few weeks ago.

All the while, rumblings have continued about a potential title for Star Wars Episode VIII - opening December 15 2017.
