Existential sci-fi indie film of the week - Another Earth

Halfway through Mike Cahill’s existential sci-fi indie Another Earth, composer John (William Mapother) and his cleaner Rhoda (Brit Marling, also Cahill’s co-writer) engage in a spontaneous bout of Wii Boxing. The pair flail around with plastic “nunchucks” in what you suspect is a prelude to an imminent bout of Wii Sex. The problem? As a drunk-driving teenager, Rhoda killed John’s wife (but he doesn’t know). Oh, and a replica of Earth has appeared in the sky. But hey! Mañana, mañana…
