Got eyes? Like films? Then might we suggest you get yourself down to the Esquire Townhouse next week, for some exclusive screenings and talks with some of the biggest stars in the movies right now. We mean it.
At 3pm on Thursday 13 October, see the Gallagher brothers as never before – actually getting on! – in an early-bird screening of Supersonic, the definitive Oasis documentary which charts their rise and the run-up to their historic Knebworth concerts 20 years ago (don't worry there are plenty of bust-ups in there too). The screening, which takes place ahead of the film's general release, is followed by a Q&A with director Mat Whitecross and executive producer Julian Bird.
Later that same evening, at 7:30pm, join legendary film director Ron Howard and one of our favourite actresses, Felicity Jones, as they discuss their latest movie, Inferno, following an exclusive screening ahead of its nationwide release. An adaptation of the Dan Brown best-seller, Tom Hanks plays symbolist Robert Langdon on the trail of a maniac with a virus to let loose on the world at large.
On Saturday 15 October, you can get yourself a stroll down the figurative red carpet as the Esquire Townhouse hosts the UK premiere of Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, the latest installment of Tom Cruise's astonishingly successful Jack Reacher films, based on the bestselling books by Lee Child.
If all those films haven't sated your urges, how about a Sunday afternoon screening of Trainspotting on 16 October, one of the seminal British movies of the last quarter-century? The Esquire Townhouse will be showing Danny Boyle's cult 1996 movie in anticipation of Trainspotting 2, which comes out next year, and for which we will screen an exclusive trailer. Producer Andrew McDonald and costume design Rachel Fleming will also be on hand to discuss the making of this classic Brit-flick.
Tempted? We thought so.
