Forget drive-in or rooftop: today sees the launch of the world’s first ever sail-in cinema.
The huge screen will tower over the harbour at Cowes, dominating the annual sailing festival’s end-of-week celebrations. If you (plus yacht) are in the area, make cinematic history and moor up before the 7pm movie kicks off. Popcorn, blankets and drams of Talisker (Cowes Week’s official whisky) will be on hand to stave off the cold.
And as for the film choice? Expect swashbuckling action courtesy of Captain Jack Aubrey (Russell Crowe) in 2003’s Master and Commander (we're guessing Perfect Storm and Titanic were vetoed). Follow #sailincinema for details.
