A statement from the chain read, "Apologies, gentlemen, but we're embracing our girl power and saying 'No Guys Allowed.'" The screenings will welcome all women, and guests who identify as women and is staffed by an all-female theater crew.

Naturally, the internet being the miserable cesspit it is, men-only screening requests have popped up from men furious at the idea of an event being created without them.

One person keen to weigh in on the debate was actor Don Cheadle who tweeted his surprise at men getting worked up about women-only screenings.

He went one further to suggest that not only should there be women-only screenings but that they prices should be 85% of normal ticket prices to reflect the gender wage gap.
