There Is No Escape In The Terrifying New Trailer For Stephen King's '1922'

You better have a strong stomach

If 'IT' becoming the highest grossing horror movie of all time wasn't enough for Stephen King, the trailer for his next adaptation has just dropped.

Judging by this trailer for '1922', you are going to need a strong stomach.

'1922' tells the story of a seemingly normal Nebraska family. That is until Wilfred (Thomas Jane) manipulates his teenage son into murdering his own mother.

The film then follows Wilfred's character as he slowly plunges into the depths of insanity, while an infestation of rats takes over and his dead wife haunts him from beyond an unmarked grave. Oh, and there's a fairly gruesome amputation to look forward to. Luckily it premieres just before Halloween.

The Netflix film is based King's short novel '1922' which was published in 2010 as part of his Full Dark, No Stars collection. Comparisons have been drawn to the Edgar Allen Poe classic 'The Tell-Tale Heart', which also follows a character's descent into madness following a gruesome murder.

'1922' premiers on Netflix October 20th.
