Watch John Travolta And His Big Weird Eyebrows Play A Mob Boss In The 'Gotti' Trailer

A New York crime drama from the Entourage and Rocky V director

Hot on the tails of the news of Scorsese's upcoming gangster drama The Irishman, it seems John Travolta is also throwing his hat in the ring for the next big-screen crime kingpin.

Titled Gotti, the New York based mobster film is a biopic of John Gotti, an Italian-American gangster who became boss of the frighteningly powerful Gambino crime family.

The film follows three decades of the dynasty through the eyes of Gotti's son, John Jr and their journey from poverty to opulence and power in the big apple.

"New York is the greatest city in the world – my city," Travolta says in the trailer as iconic shots of the city flash on the screen. "I was a kid in these streets and I made it the top," he adds.

The film will be in cinemas on 15 December and is directed by Kevin Connolly who was the man behind both Entourage and Rocky V. Alongside Travolta is Kelly Preston who will play his long-suffering wife Victoria Gotti.
