The Trailer For David Fincher's Nerve-Wracking 'Mindhunter' Looks To Get Inside The Heads Of Serial Killers

The FBI during the 1970s was a very different beast

For his first Netflix project since House of Cards, director David Fincher is taking on the true story of an FBI agent who revolutionised the way law enforcement deals with serial killers.

Prior to John E. Douglas' arrival in 1970, the FBI had a simple modus operandi when dealing with mass murderers: catch then, stop them, and electrocute them.

But Douglas made it his mission to get inside the heads of these violent criminals, interviewing them on death row and eventually becoming one of the world's first criminal profilers, using what he learned about their mindset to help solve other investigations.

All episodes of Mindhunter will be available on Netflix from 13 October.
