Status update: the Facebook film actually looks pretty good

Admit it, you were about as underwhelmed as we were when you heard Columbia Pictures had bankrolled a film about the rise of Mark Zuckerberg's ubiquitous social networking site - even it did come with the impressive writer/director pairing of Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher.

But factor in a promising new trailer (below), an original score by Trent Reznor, and a cast of convincingly passive-aggressive Abercrombie clones, and suddenly things are looking interesting. Who knows, it might even put an end to people confusing Jesse Eisenberg for Michael Cera. The Social Network is out on 15 October
