Rickman, Diaz, Firth, Esquire. Just another Wednesday night….

Last night we took to the red carpet in Leicester Square for the premiere of Michael Hoffman’s comedy heist Gambit, starring Esquire favourite (and our November cover star) the stunning Cameron Diaz.

The stars were in attendance for the screening, co-hosted by Esquire, and the Empire cinema was packed to the rafters as director Hoffman paid tribute to Diaz’s “luminosity” (we can but agree), before settling down to watch the Coen brothers-written romp.

And then it was on to Massimo at the Corinthia Hotel for champagne, wine, further champagne, twiddly canapés on sticks and some mingling with the great and the good (and our Editor, who somehow snuck in - see below).

Not bad for a school night…

Gambit is released nationwide on November 21st
