If you didn't make it to Avatar and still don't know the whereabouts of Pandora or the whatabouts of a Na'vi, fear not — there's a new effects-laden cinematic extravaganza heading your way. It's called Birdemic: Shock And Terror. The trailer is above, and there are more clips in the tour video below. Be afraid. A little bored at first, but eventually afraid.
Conceived and directed by James Nguyen, a Vietnamese refugee and software salesman from Silicon Valley, the film has reportedly gained quite a following in the States, where audiences were no doubt whipped into a frenzy by the full minute of establishing shots in the trailer, followed by a shocking sequence of state-of-the-art CGI exploding vultures.
The film will premiere at the Curzon Soho in London on 28 May, followed by screenings in Nottingham and Bradford, before — if all goes to dastardly plan — spreading its wings across the nation. For more information visit www.birdemic.com
