The Place Beyond the Pines

An exclusive look at the Gos Meister’s new film.

_

Ryan Gosling is pretty good at this driving thing – and for his new film The Place Beyond the Pines he’s swapped cars and a Kavinsky soundtrack for motorbikes and Eva Mendes. Fair enough.

In the film Gosling plays a motorcycle stunt rider who gets sucked into an underworld of crime whilst trying to support his young family. Hot on his tail is an ambitious cop (played by Bradley Cooper), and the narrative goes inter-generational as the lives of the two men collide with devastating consequences for their families.

With Derek Cianfrance at the helm (who last directed Gosling in Blue Valentine) expect more than just a boneheaded action film; so far, critics have been throwing around words like ‘epic’, ‘visual allure’, and ‘[Ryan Gosling’s] bashfully sexy mumble’. In the meantime, check out our exclusive pics below.
