Netflix have released a new trailer for the second series of House Of Cards, and it looks every bit as compelling as the first instalment of their award-winning original series.
Having ascended to the vice presidency via a series of lies, murders and slightly-jarring to-camera monologues, Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) must now protect his position (and secrets) from various threats.
The new trailer doesn’t give too much away, but it’s clear we’re picking up where we left off with Frank’s former lover Zoe Barnes – a young news reporter – trying to bring him down (and land the scoop of her life).
Judging by the trailer and the Netflix press release we can also expect to see a lot more from Frank’s wife Claire – played by the fantastically icy Robin Wright – as she comes under scrutiny too.
Anyone still looking to fill the Breaking Bad-shaped hole in their life should rejoice – as should any singletons... a release day of 14 February means for once, you’ll be having all the fun this Valentine’s Day.
