As all fans know, The Walking Dead survivors ended the last season at the mercy of a group called "The Termites", who along with being terrible hosts are rumoured to be cannibals.
With news of major character deaths in the forthcoming season and a big death hinted for the premiere, we sort the survivors from the zombie food.
1 | Bob
In the post-zombie apocalypse world, Bob is more or less a walking hotdog. He’s a drunk, he cries a lot and he almost got himself killed in the season 4 premiere. To put it bluntly, it’s a miracle Bob has stayed alive this long. Unless the footage at 34 seconds in the trailer is a double buff, we’d put good money on Bob being the first to bite the dust.
2 | Tyreese
From playing The Wire’s benevolent boxing instructor, Cutty, to The Walking Dead’s capable-but-sensitive Tyreese, Chad Coleman looks destined to play the everyman characters plodding along in the background, not causing any harm but not really helping either. All of which spells “expendable”.
3 | Sasha
If her brother Tyreese doesn’t go, Sasha has to be the one to meet her end. She’s had a nice character arc from vulnerable to tough, but then so have Maggie, Beth, Carole and Tara. Now that the gang’s back together, one of them has to go and Sasha just might be the most boring of the bunch.
4 | Glenn
Ok, Glenn might be a veteran cast member (the second recurring cast member we met after Rick) but something has to happen to shatter his happiness with Maggie, because in this sort of environment love never lasts. In the comics Glenn meets his end via a baseball bat wielding thug named Negan, who looks suspiciously like the guy about to swing a baseball bat at Glenn’s head in the season 5 trailer.
5 | Abraham’s Girlfriend
Yes, she does have a name, and it’s Rosita Espinosa. Presumably, Rosita was attending a Lara Croft fancy dress party when the end of the world occurred. It’s the only reason for her hot pants/vest top/machine gun combo that make her the most comic-book-esque character in a series of comic book characters. Would killing off Rosita be a win for feminism? Not quite, but if there’s one golden rule of horror movies, it’s that the hot girl always dies first.
6 | Darryl
