Bryan Cranston reprised his Breaking Bad character Walter White at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Cranston donned Walter White's famous chemical suit during a darkly comic Esurance advert which aired just before half-time.

The brief television spot featured the character taking the place of Greg, a customer's trusted pharmacist, without sharing his friendly demeanour.

"I'm sorta Greg," White explains. "We both have a lot of experience with drugs... sorry – pharmaceuticals," he continues, before adding, "So, say my name" – harking back to a famous line of dialogue from the series.

Cranston starred as the chemistry teacher-turned-drug dealer for five seasons in the Emmy award-winning series Breaking Bad.

A spinoff series Better Call Saul, starring Bob Odenkirk, will premiere in the US on February 8 ahead of its UK premiere on streaming service Netflix a day later (9 February).
