The Trailer For Bill Murray's Netflix Christmas Special Is Already The Best Gift Ever

What a holiday season to be alive

Move over Frosty and Rudolph, Bill Murray is coming to town. Netflix has released a better look at A Very Murray Christmas, a new special from Lost in Translation director Sofia Coppola starring just about every famous person you can think of. The first trailer played like a solemn subversion of the Christmas spirit. The above is a strong contender for our new holiday tradition.

The special follows Murray as he prepares to host a holiday broadcast. When snowy disaster strikes, the actor and all his A-list friends – including George Clooney, Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Julie White, Dimitri Dimitrov, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, David Johansen, Maya Rudolph, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis, Phoenix, Frederic Moulin, Rashida Jones, and Miley Cyrus – find themselves trapped in New York City's Carlyle Hotel. Song and dance ensue.

"Tonight will go down as the greatest night in history," Murray says in the trailer. Well, it would be pretty hard for it not to. Then again, they said the same thing about the Star Wars Holiday Special. We'll see how it goes on December 4.
