Sylvester Stallone's return to the Rocky universe in 2015's Creed must have him feeling all kinds of nostalgic—and who could blame the man? The seventh installment of the franchise was a hit at the box office, and earned Stallone a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor—as well as his first Oscar nomination in 38 years.

Perhaps because of his recent successes, or perhaps because he was just feeling nostalgic, Stallone flooded his Instagram feed yesterday with vintage stills and photographs from the series' 1976 debut. Check out the images below, ranging from close-ups on Stallone's and Carl Weathers' (a.k.a. Apollo Creed's) beat up faces to post-fight candids.
