Facebook announced Wednesday that you can now upload a short video (similar to a GIF) instead of a static photo to your personal profile.
Facebook is currently rolling out this feature to a small group of users, but it will be available to everyone soon. You can record a soundless profile video that is up to seven seconds long, and it will play on a loop every time someone views your profile page using a mobile device.
Facebook will now also allow you to set a temporary profile picture. Similar to Snapchat, you can control how long your friends see your temporary photo. In this case, it's a number of days, not a number of seconds. Then Facebook will revert back to your previous profile pic.
You can now add a one-line "Bio" to your profile page too, along with five "featured photos."
