As the routine of a new football season already kicks in (has it only been 4 weeks?), what better way to complement the standard Premiership fare with London’s first ever international football film festival.
Taking place annually in New York and having already launched in Amsterdam, Kicking and Screening is set for its UK debut at the luxurious Everyman Cinemas in various locations around the capital and features films from all over the world.
One to watch? Look out for Colombian documentary The Two Escobars directed by the Zimbalist brothers, a tale that intertwines the story of Pablo Escobar’s Medellin drug cartels with the death of Colombian footballer Andres Escobar, whose own goal in the 1990 World Cup would cost him his life.
Kicking and Screening runs for one week from September 23rd – 29th. For more information visit www.kickingandscreening.com
