Microsoft are aiming to close the gap on Sony's PS4

Images of Microsoft's new slimmed-down Xbox One have been leaked just a day before the company's official presentation at E3, the biggest event in the gaming world calendar.

Arriving in a slick all-white finish, the new Xbox One will supposedly be 40% slimmer and will support 4K video playback and High Dynamic Range (HDR), which essentially means that your games, films and TV shows are going to look particularly crisp and vivid.

Microsoft are current playing catch-up to Sony in the next gen console sales race. The Japanese behemoths have sold about 40 million PS4 consoles compared to about 20 million Xbox's

Expect a further official announcement from Microsoft on the Xbox One S to arrive later on today.
