Hold Tight, A New Gorillaz Album Is Coming

This post from an official fan account took the words straight from band co-creator Jamie Hewlett that the album "can't be rushed" and that it will be "special, really fuckin special."

The new release will be the fifth studio release for Damon Albarn and Hewlett under their alias of Gorillaz. Their long-awaited return began in 2015 when Blur's Albarn told the press they would start recording that September.

If the band have been cooking up the new album for that long we can only imagine what weird wonders we can expect from the genre-bending animated trip-hop collaboration.
