Colouring books for adults: a bit of harmless fun to pass the time or the end of Western civilisation as we've known it? Esquire tends towards the latter, despairing, dystopian view, so it's with pleasure and relief that we opened a package from our friends at the brilliant, deviant Modern Toss to discover two new colouring books we can really get our pencils into.
The Mindless Violence colouring book offers readers the chance to fill in the blank spaces on scenes of pathetic suburban conflict — assault and battery in the back garden, beard-on-beard crime at the charity cake sale — while the Working Day colouring book offers office stiffs the chance to vent some of that pent up rage on illustrations of the ennui and futility of corporate life.
Not that we identify with any of that here at Britain's leading men's magazine. Well, not much.
