By and large Calvin Harris has adopted a 'look the other way' policy while his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift has put on the biggest new relationship pantomime of all time.
That is until the Scottish DJ penned some cringe lyrics and then, today, went into full meltdown with a classic Twitter rant.
Earlier, Swift's 'people' revealed that she in fact wrote his (and Rihanna's) latest hit 'This Is What You Came For', with TMZ confirming she "Wrote the song, sat down at a piano and did a demo into her iPhone which she sent to Harris."
Swift appears on the track under the mysterious moniker Nils Sjoberg but it now seems unlikely Nils and Calvin will be penning any more bangers together.
Harris responded to the accusations he had tried to hide her involvement with series of tweets that initially seemed to adopt the 'nice guy coming clean' angle, but the barrage that follows is some sort of bizarre conversation with himself (and 7.8million followers, oops) that echoes the stages of grief, right the way through to the 'Godbless' sign off.
Perhaps it was the sightings of the potential new 007 frolicking in the sea wearing an 'I Heart T.S' vest that pushed him over the edge, perhaps it was an army of Twitter Swifties accusing him of stealing her beats.
No word from Taylor yet, but we imagine a reaction will be forthcoming - perhaps a ballad about how hairy his back is or something.
Ah, the modern celebrity romance. It's a welcome break from Brexit and all that, isn't it?
