With the news just last week that most followed starlet on Instagram Selena Gomez had racked up the 4.6m likes (the most ever) on her Coca-Cola sippin' post, it comes as little surprise just how much her social media account is worth.

New data from social media insight company, D'Marie have equated just how much that actually is, and it stands at a sickening $550,000 per post. That's a lot of Coca-Cola.

The figures put her way ahead of  Kendall Jenner, Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne who the same company reported last December could likely charge $230,000 per post. Amateurs.

D'Marie CEO, Frank Spadafora explained the sceience behind such a large figure:

"The rate-per-post is her 'ad equivalent' value per post across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This may be different than how much she is actually getting paid when participating in social media campaigns. That is up to negotiations between her agents and the brands. This valuation is based on D'Marie's algorithm which measures 56 metrics including followers, post frequency, engagement, quality of post, click-thru and potential to create sales conversions from her social content."

He also commented on how Gomez had nailed the art of good product placement, despite not having as many endorsement deals as other celebrity figures:

"It's interesting that the statistically most influential person on social media is engaged in noticeably less campaigns than other celebrities, Personally, I think it's because she's being smart and she's aware that over-saturating her social feeds with sponsored content could negatively impact the relationship she has with her audience."

D'Marie calculated that Selena's audience is growing by 200,000 followers every single day across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. With a combined audience of 200 million across the three platforms, she could probably take over a small country.

Well played, Selena.
