As you're probably aware, Pokémon Go Go has been the de facto obsession for seven and 27-year-old's worldwide since its release a couple of weeks ago, and now one man has emerged as the first to complete it.
Nick Johnson from Brooklyn announced himself as the first man to catch all of the 142 Pokémon available in the USA, a feat that saw him walk up to eight miles a night, while one rare character required him to actually get an Uber to Jersey City.
Speaking to Business Insider, Johnson revealed that after finishing work at 6pm, he would dedicate up to eight hours a night to complete his noble quest. His advice for would-be trainers? "Buy some good walking shoes."
And while this might all seem a bit sad to you, Johnson has a real-life girlfriend, and has been approached by Marriott to be flown around Europe, Asia and Australasia in order to find a handful of Pokémon that are region-specific.
"You want to catch 'em all and become a Pokémon master, it's the childhood dream, but it never really occurred to me I might be the first one to do it until I got pretty close," Johnson told CNN.
Dreams really do come true, sometimes.
