Apple's emoji update for its upcoming iPhone IOS 10 software looks set to be its wokest yet, with gender diverse athletes, single parents and the LGBT community all getting a shout out.

We've already found out that the gun emoji is to be replaced by a water pistol due to concerns over rising gun crime in the US - we're not entirely sure that's got much to do with emoji use, but we hate to dampen the feel good mood - and now we can see the full list of fresh new emojis in all their shiny millennial glory.

Although they might look identical, apparently the pre-existing emojis will be flatter (flatter?) while being jazzed up with more pastel hues. 

Expect IOS 10 and thus the emojis to arrive around about the same time as the iPhone 7 announcement

So September-ish.
