In the great black swampland of celebrity social media, Kanye West's Twitter account is the stuff of legend. We could explain why, but it's probably better to just take a look at the two shining examples below.
With his talent for third person self-love and bizarre observations, fans have been asking for years why West has staunchly refused to branch out and join the millenial embrace of Instagram, which has been going since 2012. He even addressed it back in March, tweeting: "I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition... No one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram... It's my art... My tweets are a form of contemporary art only compromised by people trying to tell me what to tweet and not to tweet... Non artist trying to grab the paint brush".
Anyway... Kanye has obviously deemed himself ready to grapple with the world of contemporary visual art, as he is now a fully-fledged Instagram user, joining 400 million other humans trying to create witty captions for their cat and avocado photos.
So far Kanye's profile is sparse, with just the one dimly lit caption-less photo. While it might be 'arty' now, it's surely only a matter of time until he succumbs to mirror selfies and esoteric memes.
